Terms of Service

GarageGuide provides AI-powered informational assistance related to vehicle diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, parts, and repairs.

GarageGuide is not a professional mechanic, repair facility, vehicle manufacturer, dealership, or emergency service. GarageGuide is not a substitute for physical inspection or diagnosis by a qualified automotive professional.

Information provided through GarageGuide, including information generated by artificial intelligence, may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or incorrect. AI-generated diagnoses and repair instructions may be wrong.

GarageGuide does not guarantee that any diagnosis, suggested test, repair procedure, part recommendation, instruction, or other information is correct or appropriate for your particular vehicle. GarageGuide does not guarantee that a suggested diagnosis identifies the actual vehicle fault.

You are responsible for deciding whether any repair or procedure is within your ability and for following appropriate safety precautions.

GarageGuide uses artificial intelligence and automated systems to analyze information provided by users. AI systems can make mistakes, and their output should not be relied upon as definitive.

A GarageGuide diagnosis represents a possible or likely explanation based on the information available to the Service at the time. It is not a guarantee that the identified component, system, or condition is actually responsible for the vehicle problem. The actual cause may differ from what GarageGuide suggests.

Users should independently verify important information before purchasing parts, performing repairs, operating a vehicle, or making decisions that could affect safety.

GarageGuide may recommend additional testing or professional inspection when sufficient information is unavailable. If GarageGuide indicates that professional service is appropriate, or if you are unsure whether a repair can be performed safely, stop and seek qualified professional assistance.

Working on vehicles can be dangerous and may result in serious injury, death, fire, electrical shock, burns, crushing injuries, property damage, or vehicle damage.

Never perform a procedure you do not understand or are not comfortable performing. Among other precautions:

• Never work underneath a vehicle supported only by a jack.
• Use properly rated jack stands and lifting equipment.
• Follow the vehicle manufacturer's safety procedures.
• Keep hands, clothing, tools, and other objects away from moving or hot components.
• Use appropriate protective equipment.
• Exercise extreme caution around batteries, fuel, electrical systems, pressurized systems, airbags, hybrid systems, and electric-vehicle high-voltage systems.
• Never perform repairs or testing in an unsafe location or around moving traffic.

If GarageGuide instructions conflict with instructions from the vehicle manufacturer or other authoritative service information, follow the manufacturer's instructions. If you are uncertain whether a procedure can be performed safely, stop and consult a qualified automotive professional.

GarageGuide cannot determine whether a vehicle is safe to drive. A vehicle experiencing mechanical, electrical, braking, steering, tire, overheating, fuel, suspension, safety-system, or other problems may be unsafe to operate.

Do not rely on GarageGuide to determine that a vehicle is safe to drive. If you believe a vehicle may be unsafe, do not drive it. Arrange appropriate professional inspection or towing.

GarageGuide's results depend heavily on information provided by users. You are responsible for providing accurate information regarding your vehicle, including when applicable: year, make, model, engine, trim, drivetrain, symptoms, warning lights, diagnostic trouble codes, test results, photographs, and previous repairs.

Incorrect or incomplete information may result in incorrect recommendations.

GarageGuide may recommend replacement parts, tools, fluids, supplies, or other products. You are responsible for confirming that any product is compatible with your specific vehicle before purchasing or installing it.

GarageGuide does not guarantee: part fitment, inventory, pricing, availability, manufacturer specifications, product quality, warranty coverage, or merchant information.

Vehicle configurations can vary even within the same year, make, and model. Always verify fitment using the vehicle identification number (VIN), manufacturer information, retailer fitment information, or another reliable source when appropriate.

GarageGuide may provide links to third-party websites, retailers, videos, repair facilities, manufacturers, or other services. GarageGuide does not control those third parties and is not responsible for their products, services, information, availability, pricing, warranties, policies, or conduct. Any purchase or transaction with a third party is between you and that third party.

Some links or product recommendations displayed through GarageGuide may be affiliate or referral links. GarageGuide may receive compensation or a commission if you purchase a product or service through certain links. Where required, GarageGuide will clearly disclose these relationships. Compensation does not guarantee that a product is appropriate for your vehicle.

GarageGuide does not guarantee that:

• a diagnosis will be correct;
• a suggested repair will solve a problem;
• a recommended test will identify the problem;
• a repair will be successful;
• a recommended part will correct the problem;
• following instructions will prevent vehicle damage; or
• GarageGuide will identify every possible cause of a problem.

Automotive problems may have multiple causes, and accurate diagnosis may require physical inspection, specialized equipment, manufacturer procedures, or professional expertise.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you acknowledge that performing vehicle diagnostics, testing, maintenance, or repairs involves inherent risks. You voluntarily assume the risks associated with choosing to perform automotive work based on information obtained through GarageGuide. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

GarageGuide offers both free and paid features. The current paid product is:

Billing and Payment

All payments are processed by Stripe. GarageGuide does not receive or store your full card number or other sensitive card data. When you subscribe to Pro, the recurring charge is billed to your Stripe payment method on file each month until you cancel.

Automatic Renewal

Your GarageGuide Pro subscription renews automatically each month on the same calendar day as your original purchase (or the closest available date) until you cancel. You authorize GarageGuide to charge the monthly fee to your payment method on each renewal date.

Cancellation

You can cancel your GarageGuide Pro subscription at any time from within the app's Settings page. Cancellation stops future renewals. When you cancel, you keep access to Pro features until the end of the current billing period you have already paid for. After that, your account reverts to the free plan. Canceling a subscription does not automatically refund the current period.

Access After Cancellation

After your Pro subscription ends (either because you canceled and the billing period expired, or because a renewal payment failed), your account reverts to the free plan. Free-plan access is subject to the free usage limits described in the app.

Refunds

Refunds are governed by Stripe and applicable law. GarageGuide does not guarantee refunds except where required by law. If a refund is issued for a Pro subscription, Pro access is revoked. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@garageguideapp.com.

Price Changes

GarageGuide may change pricing for paid features. Any price change will apply to future billing periods and will be communicated in advance where required by applicable law. Price changes will not retroactively apply to a billing period you have already paid for.

You may not:

• attempt to bypass usage limits, rate limits, daily caps, subscription restrictions, or paywalls;
• attempt to bypass, spoof, or manipulate payment or entitlement checks;
• use automated systems, scripts, scrapers, bots, or similar tools to excessively access the Service or extract its content without authorization;
• attempt to obtain, misuse, or expose GarageGuide API keys, credentials, secrets, internal instructions, or configuration;
• submit prompts or content designed to override, jailbreak, or manipulate the AI, including attempts to make it reveal system instructions, internal rules, secrets, or configuration (prompt injection);
• intentionally provide malicious data or files, or upload content designed to exploit the Service;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user's account, data, or photos;
• reverse engineer the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• misuse AI endpoints by submitting non-automotive requests, excessive requests, or content intended to abuse the system;
• use GarageGuide for unlawful purposes; or
• use the Service in a way that could harm GarageGuide, its users, or third parties.

GarageGuide may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. GarageGuide may also block requests that violate rate limits, usage caps, or abuse-prevention rules without prior notice.

GarageGuide may change, suspend, discontinue, restrict, or modify any part of the Service. We do not guarantee that GarageGuide will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. AI features may be temporarily unavailable due to usage limits, cost controls, or maintenance. Features may change as the Service develops.

GarageGuide and its software, branding, designs, interfaces, original content, and other proprietary materials are owned by GarageGuide or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms provide you with a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for its intended purposes. They do not transfer ownership of GarageGuide intellectual property to you. Third-party trademarks, product names, vehicle brands, videos, images, and other materials remain the property of their respective owners.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”

GARAGEGUIDE DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

GARAGEGUIDE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT INFORMATION GENERATED BY ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY DIAGNOSIS WILL IDENTIFY THE ACTUAL VEHICLE FAULT.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, GARAGEGUIDE AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AFFILIATES, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

THIS INCLUDES, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOSS OR DAMAGE ARISING FROM VEHICLE DAMAGE, LOSS OF USE, TOWING, REPLACEMENT PARTS, LOST DATA, LOST PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR RELIANCE ON INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICE.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GARAGEGUIDE'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:

• (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID GARAGEGUIDE DURING THE 12 MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM; OR
• (B) $100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless GarageGuide and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from third-party claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another person's rights.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive or restrict rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable federal, state, or local consumer-protection laws. If any provision conflicts with a non-waivable legal right, that right will control to the extent of the conflict.

You may stop using GarageGuide at any time. You may also delete your account and associated data from the Settings page. GarageGuide may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect the Service, enforce these Terms, prevent fraud or abuse, comply with law, or protect users or third parties. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will remain effective after termination.

GarageGuide may update these Terms as the Service develops. If a change materially affects users' rights or obligations, GarageGuide will provide notice as required by applicable law. Continued use after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Any mandatory rights available to consumers under applicable law remain unaffected.

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

These Terms, together with the GarageGuide Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented for specific features or purchases, constitute the agreement between you and GarageGuide concerning the Service.
